A former senior KPMG partner has been appointed as audit committee chair by reinsurance specialist CATco
CATCO REINSURANCE has appointed a former senior partner at KPMG as its new audit committee chairman.
Alastair Barbour is a chartered accountant with 25 years experience, and has advised boards of directors and listed companies’ executive managerial teams throughout his career.
Barbour is currently director of Standard Life European Private Equity Trust and Liontrust Asset Management.
CATco chairman Anthony Taylor said his appointment “will further strengthen the board’s commercial and financial experience and complement the executive management team”.
