Charity urges accountants to 'Take a Break'
Benevolent association designates 12 May 'Take a Break Day' to campaign for better work-life balance
ACCOUNTING charity CABA is calling on all accountants to take time out from work to consider their work-life balance on the same day in May.
The Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association has designated 12 May Take a Break Day and is calling on all firms to promote the project to enhance the balance between work and home life.
CABA’s chief executive Kath Haines, said: “What we are asking accountants to do on May 12 is step away from their desk for a period of time – it could be minutes or hours – and take a few moments for themselves to do something that they enjoy.”
She added : “What we would like to see is every accountancy practice, from the smallest to the largest as well as those out in business, take part in ‘Take a Break’ and spend some valuable time out together with colleagues, family and friends.”
