Stricken wine bar operator sold by administrators to new owners

WINE BAR operator Balls Brothers have been sold out of administration by Zolfo Cooper.

Joint administrators Nick Cropper, Peter Holder and Stuart Mackellar, partners at Zolfo, secured the sale of Balls brothers to Novus Leisure.

“[The sale] represents an excellent result for the companies’ creditors and preserves the employment of over 300 employees in the City and West End of London,” said Cropper.

The group’s other bar chain, Lewis & Clarke, was also sold in the deal.
