ADMINISTRATORS from RSM Tenon have taken over at Bristol cars, one of the last British auto manufacturers.
A statement from the firm said Tom MacLennan and Trevor Binyon were running the company while looking for a sale.
Maclennan said: “Unfortunately, while there have been a number of immediate redundancies due to the financial position of the company, we are maintaining the sales and service operations so customers will continue to be supported.
“We would urge any interested parties to make contact with us as quickly as possible and are confident that we can secure the future of this iconic British brand.” Bristol specialises in hand built luxury cars and operates out of Kensington High Street with workshops in Brentford. It emerged out of the Bristol Aeroplane Company at the end of the second world war.
