THE CFO of consumer products manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser is to become chief executive of Filtrona.
Colin Day will join the speciality plastic and fibre products maker at the start of April after more than a decade at Reckitt in the CFO role.
His departure from Reckitt was announced in October last year, with Brambles CFO Liz Doherty taking over the position.
He will replace Mark Harper, who is retiring in May after spending 25 years with the company, the last eight as chief executive.
Day also serves as a non-exec at WPP Group and AMEC.
“Colin’s extensive experience, combined with his commitment and enthusiasm for new opportunities, will drive the execution of the company’s well-established strategy,” said Filtrona chairman Jeff Harris.
