SPECIALIST recruiter Michael Page has posted result revealing gross profits up 15.7% in the fourth quarter for the UK.
In a statement issued yesterday Michael Page said: “With the exception of the public sector, the UK market continued to recover as confidence levels improved. Good year-on-year growth was achieved in all disciplines throughout all regions of the UK.”
The results for 2010 also showed marked improvement for the group as a whole. Q4 gross profits jumped 32.2% to £120m. For the year gross profits improved 25.7% to £442.1m.
Chief executive Steve Ingham said: “We have seen steady growth in the UK and strong growth in most of Europe, Australia and North America.
“However, with more than 40% of our fee earners now operating in our newer markets, including Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, with faster growing economies and limited competition, we are making rapid progress and are ideally placed for this to continue.”
