Chimes FD moves to COO role

Finance director of Chimes Mark Smith takes on the role of chief operating officer at the marketing business
FINANCE DIRECTOR Mark Smith becomes chief operating officer at marketing services company Chime.
Smith has been Chime’s FD since 1989 and steered it’s through its listing in 1994.
He qualified with Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte & Touche), in 1978. He has held finance director roles at several companies including RCA Records, Good Relations Group, and Lowe Bell Communications.
He will continue his FD role and lead the finance division until a replacement is found.
Lord Bell, chairman Chime, said: “Mark is one of the founding Directors of our Group and this appointment reflects his increasing contribution to the continued success of the business whilst maintaining robust financial management and the broadening of his responsibilities as we continue to grow.”
