Hundred Group chairman Ashley Almanza to face Lords Economic Affairs Committee questions over audit market
Finance director representatives will appear in front of the Lords on Tuesday to discuss concentration in the audit market.
Ashley Almanza, chairman of the Hundred Group of Finance Directors and FD of the BG Group; Robin Freestone, Hundred Group committee member and CFO of the Pearson Group; and Martin ten Brink, executive vice president Royal Dutch Shell, will appear at the Lords Economic Affairs Committee.
The committee will question the witnesses on a range of issues including whether domination of the large-company audit market by the Big Four restricts choice and competition or increases costs; and whether auditors should also provide consultancy and other services to the same clients.
