THE FRENCH Senate has passed the so called “google tax” on online advertising as part of its comprehensive finance bill, Tax-News.com reports.
The new tax be paid by the purchaser of online advertising and is aimed at online giants including Google, Amazon, eBay among others.
There remain fears the tax will fall on smaller advertisers and discourage large internet busineses from entering France.
