Johnston Carmichael partner Matt Henderson has been appointed liquidator to Breastlight manufacturer PWB Health
JOHNSTON CARMICHAEL insolvency practitioner is appointed to PWB Health liquidation which supplies medical equipment internationally.
Matt Henderson, a partner at Johnston Carmichael, was appointed to the business which makes Breastlight, a home usable device, to help women check for breast lumps and tumours.
“Sales of this product have been good but the company has been under immense pressure due to worldwide demand. The sheer volume of orders coupled with a relatively low margin has crippled working capital and has left the business cash-strapped,” said Henderson.
Breastlight continues to sell in 12 countries, and in Boots stores in the UK. The business has created a low cost alternative to Breastlight, which Henderson claims has every chance of trading well under new owners.
PWB Health made an application to the Sheriff Court in Glasgow this week. Henderson put the company and assets up for sale immediately following his appointment.
