Andrew Miller has been appointed as chief executive of the Guardian Media
Miller became CFO of GMG in August 2009, but was asked to become interim CEO
after Carolyn McCall stepped down from the chief executive position in June.
“Today’s announcement confirms his appointment as CEO on a permanent basis,”
GMG said today.
As CEO, Miller said it would be a great privilege and responsibility to lead
GMG and to play a key role in supporting the independence of the company’s

adapt, our strong portfolio of businesses and investments means we have a solid
base from which to move forward,” Miller added.
Miller is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland,
having gained his accountancy qualification with Price Waterhouse.
