U2 bassist sues band’s moneyman for ‘negligence’

Adam Clayton lodges papers against Gaby Smyth, who runs the financial operations of the super group

The financial brains behind Irish super group U2 is being sued by the band’s
bassist Adam Clayton for alleged negligence.

Gaby Smyth, often considered the ‘financial controller’ for the band’s huge
and complex financial operations, was named in papers lodged by Clayton on 4
June and could see the inner workings of U2 exposed to the world, reports the
Irish Mail on Sunday.

Details of the negligence claim have yet to be revealed.
