Deloitte unveils insolvency at lingerie makers

Bill Dawson and Lee Manning brought in to handle the administration of lingerie and swimwear manufacturers Stirling Group

Administrators from
Deloitte
have been appointed to lingerie maker Stirling Group.

Bill Dawson and Lee Manning took up the role at the clothing manufacturers
based in Cheshire.

Dawson, partner in the reorganisation services practice at Deloitte, said:
Stirling
Group
has suffered as a result of the recession and the financial challenges
that have impacted the economy as a whole.”

“We will continue to trade the company as a going concern whilst actively
exploring the options for sale. At present, we are also considering the position
of employees at the business,” he added.

The company employs 200 people at its head office in Cheshire and a further
50 in Nottingham. It also has operations in Sri Lanka and India.
