    Magazine distributor MMC calls in administrators

    Worldwide distributor of magazines appoints MCR administrators Sallyanne Pitt and Paul Clark

    MCR administrators are called into international publications distributor
    Magazine Marketing Company (MMC).

    Sallyanne Pitt and Paul Clark were appointed joint administrators on 21 May
    2010, with the company ceasing all trading immediately.

    MMC, founded in 1988, distributed publications to wholesalers such as Smith
    News and Menzies Distribution in addition to a number of independent newsagents.
    It also exported titles worldwide through agents.

    Pitt, a partner at MCR, said: “MMC had a long history of distributing well
    known magazine titles and collectables to the newstrade. It is extremely
    unfortunate that the company has had to be placed into administration.”
