KPMG
has won the audit of FTSE 100 outsourcing company
Capita
from Big Four rival
Ernst &
Young.
Capita decided to walk away from E&Y, which has audited the company since
its initial listing in 1984, after a competitive review.
Directors told shareholders they “felt it was time to review the audit
services required to support Capita”.
Last week, KPMG also won the audit of AIM listed research company Silence
Therapeutics Plc from accountants Grant Thornton.
The announcement comes a day after the £2.7bn turnover company announced the
acquisition of the National Dental Plan for £30 million.
