BDO insolvency practitioners are lined-up as administrators of Flight
Options, which owns Kiss Travel, the troubled British holiday and flight
Flight Options announced on Tuesday 17 August that its group of companies,
including Kiss Travel, had ceased trading affecting more than 70,000
Accountancy Age understands that, although no formal letter of
engagement has been received by BDO, the firm is due to be appointed as
administrators later today.
The collapse of Flight Options has left an estimated 1,500 travelers
The Civil Aviation Authority said it was “stepping in” to protect customers
and help with their travel requirements.
The tour operator is the latest of 13 firms in the industry to go bust this
year, including Sun4U and Goldtrail.
