PwC trained officer steps up as chief executive
The Guardian Media Group’s chief financial officer will fill the shoes of its
longstanding chief executive, while the search begins for her replacement.
Carolyn McCall, chief executive with the newspaper publisher for 24 years,
has left the group for budget carrier easyJet, leaving Andrew Miller, the
current chief financial officer, to take over as interim chief executive.
Miller, who learned accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, has previously
worked at Pepsi, Bass and Proctor & Gamble.
The
Guardian reports, a nominations committee has been assembled to find
McCall’s replacement.
