IFS rates Lib Dems' tax plans best

Insitute for Fiscal Studies says the Liberal Democrats tax proposals hold the most water of the three parties but still criticised the overall plans

The Liberal Democrats’ blueprint for returning cash to middle-income
taxpayers has been judged as the best of the
three
leading political parties
by the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

According to the think tank, the Liberal Democrats tax proposals would
benefit that group of people more than Labour or Conservative plans.

However, the IFS said the Lib Dems plans to scrap higher rate tax relief on
pensions was ” fundamentally misguided.
