Election of directors up for the vote this week

The corporate governance watchdog is to decide this week whether it should
push ahead with measures forcing company directors to face annual re-election.

shareholders should be asked to confirm directors in their posts each year.

The FRC has been considering corporate governance in the wake of the crisis
with the new consultation following on from recommendations contained in the
Walker Review published last year.
