Interserve’s current finance director, Tim Jones, will take on the finance
director role at pub operator Mitchells & Butlers.
Jones has been group finance director at Interserve, the construction
business, since joining in 2003. Prior to this he held senior finance positions
at energy management company Novar, transportation business Exel, British Gas
and Hambros Bank.
Jones, whose start date has yet to be finalised, succeeds Jeremy Townsend who
leaves the business at the end of August to take up the CFO role at Rentokil.
Townsend joined Mitchells & Butlers in 2005 as deputy finance director
taking up the chief finance role in early 2008. Townsend, who previously worked
in audit and corporate finance at Ernst & Young, held various finance roles
at J Sainsbury including group financial controller prior to Mitchells.
Adam Fowle, CEO Mitchells & Butlers, said: “We are delighted to welcome
Tim to the board. His wide experience will be of great value as we continue to
drive the strong performance of the company.”
