Gerard Connell is stepping down as group finance director of Wincanton.
Connell, who has held the position at the supply chain solutions provider for
ten years, is being replaced by Jon Kempster, who will take over on 22 July.
Kempster was previously FD at Delta and group FD at Low and Bonar.
The company said that Connell “has decided to step down … to pursue other
career interests in line with his longer term career plans”. He will remain with
the business up to the annual general meeting on 21 July.
Wincanton’s chief executive, Graeme McFall, said in a statement: “I would
like to thank Gerard for his very significant contribution since becoming
finance director of Wincanton in 2000. I am personally very grateful to Gerard
for his support and I wish him continuing success for the future.
“I am delighted that Jon will be joining Wincanton. He brings with him a
wealth of experience. I look forward to his contribution and support in
delivering the company’s strategy.”
