The FD of marine services business
James Fisher and
Sons is set to retire after more than 45 years’ service.
Michael Shields, group finance director, will retire on 30 November 2010. He
joined the business in 1964, working throughout its chartering, ship operations
and then port activities.
In 1983 he became group accountant and treasurer, before taking on the group
FD role in 1996.
Stuart Kilpatrick is group finance director designate. He was previously
group finance director of Empresaria Group. He has held senior financial roles
at Elementis, Charles Baynes and Vodafone.
“On behalf of James Fisher, I would like to thank Michael for his dedicated
and exceptional service over the last 46 years and for his outstanding
contribution to the group,” said chairman Tim Harris. “We are very grateful for
his great endeavour and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
