Alec tong takes FD role at Dairy Farm, the $8bn hypermarket and convenieince store retailer
Chartered accountant Alec Tong is the new group finance director of Dairy
Farm International Holdings.
Tong joins the pan-Asian retailer from its parent company Jardine Matheson,
where he serves as treasurer. He takes his new role from 1 September.
He has served the group in a number of senior finance roles for the past 17
years.
Howard Mowlem retires from the position.
“Howard has played a significant role in restructuring and refocusing Dairy
Farm during his ten years with the group, enabling us to become a leading food
retailer in Asia,” said Dairy Farm chief executive Michael Kok.
The business employs 76,000 people in the region, with total annual sales
exceeding $8bn.
