Finance experts take top WH Smith roles

Former ITV FD Henry Staunton joins WH Smith as non-exec. Signet FD Walker Boyd named chairman

Experienced finance professional Henry Staunton is joining
WH
Smith’s
board as a non-executive director.

Staunton, former finance director of ITV and Ladbrokes, joins the board on 1
September.

He is currently a non-executive director of Legal and General, Merchants
Trust, Capital and Counties Properties and New Look Retail Group.

Another former FD on WH Smith’s board, Walker Boyd, is named chairman.

He rejoined the board as a non-exec in February, and will replace Robert
Walker who retires.

Boyd is currently FD of Signet Jewellers, which operates as H Samuel, Ernest
Jones and Leslie Davis.
