Obama's FD takes social secretary role
Julianna Smoot takes White House job after Desiree Rogers' departure
Barack Obama’s presidential campaign finance director has been named the
White House’s new social secretary.
Julianna Smoot, who helped raise $32.5m (£21.4m) for president Obama during
his successful campaign, takes over from Desiree Rogers who resigned last week.
Smoot has worked for other senators in the FD role.
The White House denied Rogers had been forced out over the gatecrashers
incident at Obama’s first state dinner, according to
reports.
