KPMG wins audit of AIM-listed research company

Grant Thornton step down as auditors

KPMG has won the audit of aim-listed research company Silence Therapeutics
Plc.

In a share-market announcement, the company announced the appointment which
followed a tender process. Silence Therapeutics’ previous auditor, Grant
Thornton, has now resigned.

KPMG will review Silence Therapeutics’s results for the six months ending 30
June 2010.
