Change of auditor guard

Listed Irish concrete maker Readymix has announced the appointment of KPMG as
its new auditor with effect from 26 September 2006.

KPMG has replaced rival Big Four firm PricewaterhouseCoopers following a
decision by the Board to review the audit appointment earlier this year.

According to a London Stock Exchange filing, upon resigning PwC confirmed
that there were no circumstances connected with their resignation which they
consider should be brought to the notice of the shareholders or creditors of
Readymix.
