More than 35 pubs and hotels shut in total
There has been more bad news for the London & Edinburgh Swallow Group
after administrators Ernst & Young announced the closure of ten more managed
pubs.
This brings to 36 the totals number of pubs and hotels closed by E&Y
since being appointed administrator on 14 September.
Angela Swarbrick, administrator from E&Y: ‘It is unfortunate that despite
negotiation with interested parties, it has not been possible to conclude a sale
of these pubs to secure their long term future.
‘Regretfully, we are no longer able to continue trading the sites affected,’
she added.
Sites closed are: Guilders Arms, Gildersome, Leeds; The Victoria, Pocket
Nook, St Helens; Blue Mile, Littlemore, Oxfordshire; Centurion, Bicester,
Oxfordshire; The Crown Inn, Mitcham, Surrey; Hambro Arms, Hayes, Middlesex;
Junction, Bognor Regis, West Sussex; Nag’s Head, Slough, Berkshire; Phoenix,
Sunbury-on-Thames; Village House Hotel, Finedon, West Sussex.
