Battle on for Andersen's UK reputation

Andersen is battling to save its reputation in the UK by sending teams of top executives to visit its corporate clients in the hope of providing reassurance.

An Andersen spokesman confirmed the company has been speaking to clients and reassuring them.

But he added: ‘We see most of our clients continually anyway and the feedback that we’re getting from our clients has been very very positive.’

‘It’s business as usual, everything is going very well.’

Andersen is said to be sending clients letters and private fact sheets addressing the ‘myths and realities’ of the Enron scandal and encouraging senior executives to meet with clients face to face

The firm’s clients refused to comment on whether they would keep Andersen as auditors.
