Bob Green to step down from the board of biodiesel producer at the end of the month after two years with the company
The board of
Biofuels
has announced that Bob Green has decided to step down to ‘pursue other
opportunities’.
The AIM-listed company, which runs Europe’s largest biodiesel plant at Seal
Sands in Teeside announced to the market that Green will end his two-year tenure
at the end of this month.
Green, joined the company on 27 January 2005 and became FD on 1 February
2005. He spent eight years at
ScottishPower as a
divisional FD before moving up to be Group Controller heavily involved in the
organic and acquisitive growth of the group. More recently he was group FD of
Morrison and Wilson Connolly Holdings.
On his departure, Green will be replaced by Andy Leeser with immediate
effect. Leeser,
a CIMA fellow has
held senior financial positions with a broad range of companies, including
troubled support services and infrastructure group Jarvis, ICS group and
Baarda.
Chairman Mike Buzzacott said: We are very grateful to Bob for the significant
contribution he has made over the last two years and we wish him well for the
future. I am delighted that we have secured someone of Andy’s calibre to replace
Bob. Andy’s financial and restructuring background will be valuable to the board
as we enter another crucial period in the group’s development.’
