E&Y support staff learn fate

Less than 40 staff to go from suport roles in firm's north region

Big Four firm Ernst & Young will today inform support staff in its north
region about job cuts, following a review of its administrative activities. The
number of jobs affected is expected to be lower than the 40 initially predicted.

The firm will consult with the individuals hit as to whether other positions
can be found for them within E&Y.

‘During this individual consultation period we will be giving our full
support and advice to each individual and we will also be looking at other
alternative internal positions available to them,’ said an E&Y spokeswoman.
