IRIS has won a major contract to supply multiple systems to Wilkins Kennedy, one of the top 30 firms in the country. The firm will take accounts production, business tax and practice management systems from IRIS.
Ken Rozier, IRIS sales director, said: ‘Leading edge practices are increasingly combining all their IT systems to cut down the effort required to keep the information current and to provide a more comprehensive view, leading to more informed and better management decisions.’
Only one in ten UK companies have made arrangements to secure their business critical software. According to software provider the NCC Group, which undertook the research, many businesses are taking an unnecessary risk especially given a background of 4,000 software sellers closing down in the past year alone. Rob Cotton, a director at NCC, said: ‘As dependence on IT increases year-on-year there is no room for complacency.’
