KPMG wins Nortel audit

Big Four firm appointed for 2007 tax year

KPMG has been appointed as the principal independent public accountant for
technology giant Nortel.

The appointment was approved by shareholders at its annual meeting of
shareholders.

The firm’s appointment was proposed in December 2006 by Nortel’s board of
directors, subject to shareholder approval.

KPMG was also appointed as principal independent public accountant to Nortel
Networks, Nortel’s operating subsidiary.
