Mazars boosts top echelon

Top 15 firm Mazars has made a number of senior appointment, bringing on board two new audit partners and three new directors.

Ian Sparshott has been promoted to audit partner within the insurance division and Elisabeth Maxwell has been promoted to audit partner, specialising in owner-managed businesses.

Mazars has also recruited Howard Jones as corporate tax director from Deloitte & Touche, John O’Neill for the new position of director of actuarial services (from Milliman), and Beth Rees as director of insurance, corporate recovery and insolvency services (from Grant Thornton).

Mazars senior partner John Mellows said he was particurlarly pleased to see Sparshott appointed audit partner after joining the firm under its graduate programme.

He also welcomed the three new directors.
