Ex-Andersen partner to head Clifford Chance

In a move proving there is life after Andersen, the defunct firm's former managing partner in the US has been appointed chief operating officer at the world's biggest law firm, Clifford Chance.

Terry Hatchett will be COO for the America’s and follows the complete disintegration of Andersen in the wake of the Enron scandal.

He left Andersen, where he had worked for 34 years, soon after the firm was indicted by US prosecutors for obstruction of justice on 14 March 2002.

He will join the law firm’s New York office.

Clifford Chance appointed 31 news partners worldwide in April.
