Paul Rivers has resigned as finance director of restaurant group Chez Gerard. Rivers joined the London-based group less than two years ago, but will be staying on until a replacement is appointed.
Search consultants have been appointed by the board to find a replacement for Rivers, an Oxford Chemistry graduate who trained with Price Waterhouse.
Rivers is joining MW Group, a management buy-out of Mappin & Webb and Watches of Switzerland from jewellers Asprey & Garrard.
Commenting on the departure, group chairman Neville Abraham, said: ‘Paul has completed the restructuring of the group’s finances in order to meet the demands of the nationwide roll-out of the Livebait and Chez G‚rard brands. We shall be sorry to see him go and on behalf of the board I would like to thank him for his contribution.’
