The final of this year’s Accountancy Age Masters 2000 will be held at the Belfry, home of the 2001 Ryder Cup. Following the success of last year’s inaugural Masters, this year’s competition will once again be sponsored by business finance specialist NMB-Heller. It features qualifying rounds, played under matchplay rules, followed by a series of regional finals to be held throughout June. The grand final will be held at the Belfry on 11 and 12 September, where the winner will claim the Accountancy Age Masters jacket. The six regional finals will be held on: 7 June at Slaley Hall, Hexham; 8 June at Mere Golf & Country Club in Knutsford; 15 June at St Pierre Park, Chepstow; 22 June at Hever Golf Club; 27 June at Brocket Hall, Welwyn Garden City; and 28 June at Forest of Arden, Meriden, Warwickshire. All qualified accountants – or anyone taking their final exams – who has a maximum handicap of 24 for men, and 32 for ladies, can enter and seek to emulate Tiger Woods (celebrating the US victory in the last Ryder Cup, above). Entry fees for the competition begin at £30 for a single entry. The closing date is 31 March. To reserve a place, call 0845 602 1072.
