Birch offered Leeds Utd role
Trevor Birch, the former Ernst & Young partner and former chief executive of Chelsea FC, has been offered the top post at struggling Leeds United.

Birch, who was head of Ernst & Young’s North West corporate restructuring team based in Manchester before joining Chelsea in February 2002, is largely credited with keeping the London club afloat before it was bought by Russian billionaire Roman Abromavich.
The 45-year-old chartered accountant left Chelsea in September after Manchester United chief executive Peter Kenyon was head-hunted to the Blues by Abromavich.
Leeds United are currently experiencing financial problems and Birch’s corporate restructuring skills could help turn it around. The club is expected to release pre-tax losses next week.
It is believe that Birch is considering the offer, the FT reported.
