Buyers queue up for ailing Allders

Struggling retailer Allders has received 36 separate bids for its business from interested parties, joint administrator Alastair Beveridge from Kroll has disclosed.

‘We received a total of 72 expressions of interest for the business and 52 sales packs were sent out as a result. As of this morning, we have received a total of 36 separate bids, either for the entire business or for parts of it,’ Beveridge said.

Beveridge added that on the shop floor trading in Allders stores had been proceeding as usual, with sales showing an improvement on figures form the corresponding period last year.
