E&Y will advise the European Broadcasting Union after a report by televoting partner, Digame (an affiliate of Deutsche Telekom) revealed a problem with the calculation software during the processing of semi-final votes from Monaco and a problem with SMS voting in Croatia.
Results from the voting had to be reissued after the show. The EBU said the restated results correctly represented the results of Wednesday’s voting.
Deutsche Telekom said there was a problem with the calculation software as results from Monaco were being processed.
Despite the error, both results ranked the same 10 semi-finalists to qualify for the final, which will include the UK and 14 others to be held in Istanbul on Saturday.
