PwC to run cancer charity
The Charity Commission has appointed a team of receivers and managers from PricewaterhouseCoopers to run the Cancer Care Foundation.

PwC has been put in charge because of concerns about serious mismanagement at the charity, according to the Financial Times.
David Rich, the head of the commission’s investigations team, said the appointments were a temporary and protective measure.
‘The receivers and managers will take control of the charity both to secure its assets and to allow it to function normally. An investigation will examine the charity’s operations and establish a far more effective way to go forward,’ Rich said.
