Former property company finance chief, Stephen East, appointed as new Woolworths FD.
Woolworths has appointed former MEPC finance chief Stephen East as its new FD.

East replaces Christopher Rogers, who has moved on to Whitbread, next month – in a role said to be worth £300,000 per annum.
In a statement released by the company, Woolworths chief executive Trevor Bish-Jones said, ‘We’re very pleased to have him on board. He’s widely experienced and he’ll do a very good job for us.’
According to media reports, Bish-Jones is also bolstering the board with two internal promotions. Lloyd Wigglesworth, who heads the firm’s successful CD and DVD distribution arm, Entertainment UK, and retail director Steve Lewis will both be stepping up. Additional non-executive directors will be also appointed in the near future.
