Queen's grocer advertises six-figure salary role for new FD after departure of former incumbent

Fortnum & Mason, the luxury grocery and official supplier to the Queen,
has opened the search for a new FD.

The store, which will be 300 years old this year, is undergoing a £24m
investment programme and is seeking financial expertise to guide it through this
period. The search is being run by Piccadilly-based headhunter
Walker Hamill .

The new FD will earn a ‘six-figure salary’ and take responsibility for
finance, IT and company secretarial duties.

‘The successful candidate should be technically strong and be willing to be
both hands-on, and also take on a high degree of commercial involvement
including worldwide contractual negotiations,’ and advert in
the FT for the
position said.

Former FD Les Collins left the group suddenly in October, according to
the Daily Telegraph
, without offering any explanation for his departure.
