Incoming IFAC president gets CBE

PricewaterhouseCoopers' partner and former president of the ICAEW, Graham Ward, has been awarded a CBE in the Queen's birthday honours list.

He receives the title Commander of the British Empire for his services to exports.

In April, Ward was announced as the new deputy president and president-designate of the International Federation of Accountants. He will take over from current president Rene Ricol in November.

He was elected president of the ICAEW in June 2000 and was the second youngest president in the institute’s history.

He qualified as a chartered accountant at Price Waterhouse in 1977 and became a partner in 1986.
