Inland Revenue manager jailed for six months
An Inland Revenue manager found guilty of insider dealing has been sentenced to six months in prison.
Lawrence Champion, a manager at the Revenue’s capital gains clearence section in Solohull, had already confessed to using confidential information regarding company takeovers received at his office to buy shares.
He pleaded guilty to 13 counts of insider dealing.
Champion,50, was suspended without pay once the trading was uncovered.
