MG Rover offered tax holiday
More government help for British car manufacturer.
The government has modified its support for troubled UK car maker MG Rover to include partial national insurance and income tax holidays.

The changes are on top of the value added tax break it received last month as the authorities try to help the company stay in business.
However, Rover will pay a interest fee on any money deferred, in order to avoid EC investigations over state aid, while the Treasury claims the total amount of tax deferred by the manufacturer remains the same, at less than £40m, according to the Financial Times.
