    Stakeholder meeting announced by FRC

    Interim report from Market Participants Group to be discussed at meeting

    The Financial Reporting Council has
    announced the date of a stakeholder meeting which will consider an interim
    report on choice in the audit market.

    The report, from the Market participants
    Group    , is the culmination of eight months of closed discussions on the
    efficiency of the market for audit services to large companies. The MGP was also
    talked with discussing a way forward to reduce the risks associated with a firm
    leaving the market the group.

    The MPG was nominated by firms, investors and companies.
