1998 Independent 100 firms

Software Warehouse, Prime Time Recruitment and Basilica Computing gained the top three places in the 1998 Independent 100 list of fastest-growing, private firms, published by Price Waterhouse and the Independent on Sunday. PW corporate finance partner, Nigel Crockford said that the average rate of growth of 1998’s Independent 100 firms had increased to an annual growth rate of 54 per cent. The 100 firms had generated 25,703 jobs in the UK over a five-year period. The list is based on sales growth over the same period.
