Former M&S FD takes CFO role at Geo
Gary Plumpton takes on top finance role at technology company Geo having worked in senior finance roles at both BA and Dell
Gary Plumpton, a former Marks & Spencer finance director, has taken the
top finance spot at fibre optics company Geo.
He joins the £30m turnover company, Geo, from Dell where he was latterly
finance director in the services and infrastructure consultancy division in
Europe Middle East and Africa, having joined in 2006 as FD for operations in the
UK and Ireland.
Plumpton, who qualified with Deloitte, has worked with large listed companies
having formerly worked as financial controller at British Airways engineering
subsidiary before moving onto M&S. He spent five years at the high street
retailer latterly as FD of its clothing division.
“The opportunity to join a company with the potential to define the future of
the communications market was too good to miss,” he said.
