George Wimpey FD seals top role
Peter Redfern, the finance director of housebuilder George Wimpey UK, has been promoted to manage the company from next year.

Redfern is due to take up the reins – and the title of managing director of George Wimpey UK – at the beginning of next year as chief executive Keith Cushen retires.
Redfern worked closely with Cushen on the company’s restructuring, which began in 2001. He is expected to join the board once he has spent some time aclimatising himself to the role and the business.
